Ebay item 12/16/05 cgi.ebay.com/1968-Jaguar-XKE-2-2-E-type-NO-RESERVE_W0QQitemZ4598073440
Opening bid $4,650, no reserve, no bids yet, 6 days left in auction. 56k kilos, manual trans.
This 68 E-type is a barn find Series 1.5 two owner car. It has a 4.2L engine 3 carb setup with a 4-speed trans. The second owner drove the car until 1999. The car is in rough but restorable condition. Rockers are good, but floors are weak. Rust damage on doors, bonnet, floors and boot. The cylinder head is off and is reconditioned ready to go back on, new head gasket set included. Exhaust system is in good shape. The interior is complete and original. The rear end is in good shape. Complete chrome and trim. Newer rad installed plus other new parts and original shop manual included. Garage kept until recently lost storage.

Car now in the UK, previously Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Auction description:
Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th January 2023
1968 JAGUAR E-TYPE 4.2 SERIES II 2+2 COUPE
Estimate: £28,000 - £32,000
V5 present
MoT exempt
Chassis number: 1E78848
We have been advised by the vendor that much work has been undertaken recently including the head, water pump and radiator, full brake rebuild including new servo, new steering rack, fuel tank, fuel pump and battery. In addition a new headlining has been fitted and new wheel nuts supplied.
The Carmen Red car was originally registered abroad as a personal import, and was left-hand drive; there is a certificate of registration for Nova Scotia in Canada in the paperwork file. The car has since been converted back to right-hand drive and was registered in the UK in June 2019. The history folder includes the V5C, a few recent bills, numberplate authorisation documentation and Jaguar Heritage Trust production record trace certificate (Heritage Certificate). There is no MoT; as an historic vehicle, the Jaguar no longer requires one. The odometer shows 8031 miles and just a single owner is noted since the E-type returned to the UK.
