On sale Aug 2011 asking £27,950
1969 Jaguar E-Type 2+2 Manual RHD UK Car first reg.5.9.69. Finished in light blue with a dark blue leather interior and chrome disc wheels. This example had had only 2 owners from new the last for 41 years from September 1970. The car is in excellent unrestored condition throughout retaining the original floors and body panels, the paintwork is in excellent order the interior lovely with the original carpets and Motorola radio and the mileage is only 53,000 warranted from new with various MOT test certificates and tax discs from the mid 70's to date in the history file which also includes some servicing and maintenance invoices plus the original Jaguar service pouch with all handbooks and the original warranty card. The car has just been serviced and MOT'D at Jaguar Specialist Stuart McPherson and runs and drives superbly with excellent oil pressure and a smooth transmission. It is very rare to find a virtual one owner E-Type with such low mileage in this condition ready to use and enjoy and is tremendous value.

Car at auction 4/25

www.tradeclassics.com/auctions/jaguar/1969-jaguar-e-type-series-2-22-fhc/

Seller's description:

1969 Jaguar E-Type 2+2 (Series 2)

Original Car | Nicely Presented | Only 3 Previous Keepers | Lovely Condition | Market Auction - Seller Created Listing

Mileage~56,600 on the clock

Transmission Manual

Engine4.2L

Location Epsom

The condition of the bodywork is very good - there are no signs of exposed rust or need for any immediate attention.

I have provided pictures of all the critical areas of the underside of the car to demonstrate the excellent condition of the chassis and sub frame.

I had the car inspected by an independent mechanic in January 2025. The mechanic could not identify any requirements for maintenance to the bodywork as a whole, including the underside.

The wheels are original crown hubs in good condition that polish up well with the to be expected signs of wear for ~56 year old car.

The paintwork polishes very well without any exposed blemishes. The majority of the texture and shine is excellent.

There are some minor areas where the paint is not completely smooth but is not cracked or exposed and not in need of any immediate attention.

There are no chips or cracks in any of the glass.

The trim is original with as to be expected signs of wear in a few places.

Car returns to auction7/25

www.historics.co.uk/auction/lot/lot-205---1969-jaguar-e-type-series-ii-22/

Auction description:

19th Jul, 2025 The Summer Serenade; Windsorview Lakes

1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II 2+2

Estimate £28,000 - £35,000

Registration: SJA 40H

Chassis No: 1R35363

Odometer: 56,600

Low mileage example

Recently specialist inspected

This stunning example was first registered on 5th September 1969 and presents in a powder blue coachwork over an original dark blue leather interior, sitting on original crown hub capped wheels. This manual example of the 2+2 is the ultimate in looks and E-Type practicality, with only 56,600 miles on the odometer, which is believed to be correct, and with low documented keepers and an interior that shows a wonderful patina. Our vendor had the car inspected by an independent mechanic in January 2025, he did not identify any major requirements for maintenance to the bodywork as a whole, including the underside.

Our vendor states the engine always fires up and idles very well when warmed up, the car drives very well and is great fun as to be expected from the 4.2 litre straight six engine, ‘I can leave the car for months and start it with full choke and several turns of the engine from cold without issue’. A very solid car that has had cosmetic restoration work in the past, we think circa 9-10 years ago but remains largely original, we have added photos of the underside to demonstrate the excellent condition of the chassis and sub frame. Offered with the original handbook pack and a printed MoT check back to 1977 to give great confidence in that odometer reading coupled with further various invoices and history for the car. Good honest E-Types are still one of classic motoring’s great pleasures and this rare manual 2+2 can transport you, your spouse, children and luggage to any classic event this summer.
