Ebay item 4/4/22
Current bid: $3,150 reserve not met 4 bids 6 days left in auction, seller m325ic87, 80k miles, Bellingham, Washington
Seller's description:
1971 Jaguar E-type up for auction. I found the car tucked away in a garage where it had been for 32yrs. Randomly chatting with the old gentleman next door to our airbnb. He says I have a vette and some Jag in the garage. Long story short I bought both with big plans for the Jaguar. Got both shipped home to Washington state. My plans have pivoted in a different direction and I'm not going to take on the project of getting her back on the road. I have put some tires on the front so it can be rolled around and it rolls great. I have soaked the Cylinders and made sure the motor spins freely. I really wanted to do it for the old guy that I got it from he hasd been the owner since 1978 he drove the car from California to Scottsdale and parked it. He said Arizona was too hot for it. This is a complete car everything is there minus one hub cap and the V12 trunk badge. This is a no rust overly solid E-type. There is some sort of sticker on the rockers that is flaking off and looks odd in the pictures and it's not rust. It has the V12 and the manual transmission making this a very rare sought-after car with both numbers matching. I have the original owners manual, keys and spare tire. The car used to be British racing green and was painted this Ferrari red many years back. There is little no damage on the body anywhere there is one little ding by the drivers headlight. If I were to keep it I'd get it on the road. Get some moisture in the leather. Do I little restitch definitely a paint correction and ceramic coating and Obviously tires. The car actually shows very well and would be a great car as is or would be a very easy car to take to the next level.

This 1971 Jaguar E-Type Series III 2+2 is a non-running project that is said to have been taken off the road in the 1980s. It is equipped with a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in red over black leather, and features include four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15″ steel wheels with polished covers, quadruple carburetors, an AM/FM stereo, and a heater. This Series III E-Type was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023 and is now offered in Texas at no reserve with a clean Arizona title.
Previously finished in green, the car was repainted red some time ago and features uncovered headlights, a forward-hinged louvered hood, US-spec bumpers, tinted windows, and a power antenna. The left door lock and pieces of trim are missing. The paint is dull and there are dents in the driver-side rocker panel.
Body-color 15″ steel wheels feature polished hubcaps and were mounted with 195/65 Kumo Solus tires in 2025. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors. One of the hubcaps is missing, and three wire-spoke wheel covers accompany the vehicle.
The 2+2 cabin features front bucket seats and a reach bench seat upholstered in black leather as well as color-coordinated door panels. Interior amenities include an aftermarket AM/FM stereo, a locking glovebox, three-point seatbelts, and a heater. There are tears in the seats and armrest.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. An analog clock along with auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 83k miles.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory equipped with quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was rated at 314 horsepower and 349 lb-ft of torque when new. The seller states that the engine has been run off an external fuel pump.
Engine stamping 7S1754SA and corresponds number is listed on the chassis plate.
The engine is linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. There is rust-through in the exhaust system.
